Product Design Introduction

Design Elements:

Embracing the design ethos of “Every picture tells a story, every story brings good fortune,” we integrate traditional Chinese New Year painting elements with our spring greeting products, adding layers of meaning to our Chinese New Year greetings.

The Door Gods, revered by both Taoism and Han Chinese folk beliefs, are paintings commonly hung on doors during the Lunar New Year. They serve to ward off evil spirits, safeguard the household, ensure prosperity, and usher in auspiciousness. Among the most popular protective deities in Han Chinese folklore, Taoism includes the Door Gods in its pantheon for worship.

Our first series combines the traditional Chinese New Year painting theme of “Flowers blooming with prosperity” with hand-written calligraphy and innovative Real-3D graphic technology. This fusion creates a sense of depth on flat printed materials, presenting a unique style that blends modern technology with traditional artistic values. Breaking free from traditional constraints, it forges a new aesthetic that harmonizes Chinese tradition with classical aesthetics.

Additionally, our second series merges the Chinese New Year painting motifs of “Abundance Year after Year” and “Nine Fish Painting” with hand-written calligraphy and innovative Real-3D graphic technology. Similar to the first series, this approach creates depth on flat printed materials, showcasing a style that seamlessly integrates modern technology with traditional artistic values. By breaking free from traditional constraints, it cultivates a new aesthetic that blends Chinese tradition with classical aesthetics.

At the onset of the Lunar New Year, households adorn their doors with Door Gods and couplets. On the eve of the Lunar New Year or the twenty-ninth day of the last lunar month, individuals flock to the streets to procure couplets and Door Gods. Some may even craft their own couplets, adorning their homes to express the aspiration of warding off evil, inviting blessings, and embracing good fortune.

The Creation

As a key member of the Guts Production team, my responsibilities encompassed a wide range of tasks aimed at promoting our brand and products to our target audience. Through strategic branding, effective promotion, and meticulous product design, I played a crucial role in driving the success of Guts Production’s initiatives.

• Naked Eye 3D Product Design and Production Utilizing my expertise in 3D design, I spearheaded the creation of stunning naked-eye 3D product designs, seamlessly transforming 2D concepts into captivating three-dimensional visuals. By meticulously crafting these designs, I ensured that our products stood out from the competition and captured the attention of our audience.
• Branding (Logo, Business Card) I led the branding efforts for Guts Production, designing a distinctive logo and business card that reflected the essence of our brand. Through careful consideration of typography, color schemes, and imagery, I created a cohesive and memorable brand identity that resonated with our target demographic.
• Social Media Promotion (Facebook, Instagram, Pinkoi) To increase our brand visibility and engage with our audience, I developed and executed strategic promotion campaigns on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Pinkoi. By curating compelling content and leveraging targeted advertising strategies, I effectively communicated our brand message and showcased our products to a wider audience.
• Google SEO and Keyword Search I implemented Google SEO and keyword search strategies to enhance Guts Production’s online visibility and attract organic traffic to our website and online store. By optimizing our content for relevant keywords and monitoring our search engine rankings, I ensured that Guts Production remained at the forefront of our industry.

Success Stories

Thanks to our concerted efforts, Guts Production achieved significant milestones, including securing a pop-up store at Eslite Bookstore (誠品書店), renowned for selecting only the best design brands. Additionally, our products were successfully placed on sale at TINY STORE 微影, located at prominent shopping destinations such as YOHO MALL, APM, and THE FOREST in Causeway Bay.
