In the heart of Design District Hong Kong (DDHK), a captivating exploration of Hong Kong’s rich cultural tapestry unfolds. Through the “Connected City: Hong Kong Stories” project, we invite you on a journey of discovery and inspiration, where fashion design teams and emerging local designers come together to retell the stories of Hong Kong through their original creations. From the bustling streets of Sham Shui Po to the vibrant energy of Lai Chi Kok D2, our indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces serve as canvases for creativity, showcasing the essence of Hong Kong’s unique cultural heritage.
At the core of our project lies a vision of immersive storytelling, where every detail—from stage design to exhibition spaces—is meticulously crafted to reflect the spirit of Hong Kong. For the fashion show at Lai Chi Kok D2, our stage design aims to evoke a sense of light and speed using mirrors, complemented by a dynamic sound and light backdrop. This immersive experience transports the audience into the heart of Hong Kong’s bustling streets, where stories come to life through the artistry of fashion.
As a designer tasked with bringing the “Connected City: Hong Kong Stories” project to life, my responsibilities spanned a range of tasks aimed at creating a visually stunning and immersive experience for attendees.
Firstly, I conducted 1:1 3D modeling for the fashion show and indoor exhibition spaces, meticulously crafting digital models of the stage, exhibition booths, and other design elements. This allowed for precise visualization and planning of the event space, ensuring every detail was thoughtfully considered.
Next, I oversaw the operation and monitoring of the 3D naked-eye image presentation, ensuring seamless integration of technology to enhance the immersive experience for attendees. From setting up equipment to troubleshooting technical issues, my role was to ensure a flawless execution of the visual presentation.
Additionally, I took on the task of video editing, curating compelling footage from the event to create an engaging activity review video. By selecting the most impactful moments and weaving them together into a cohesive narrative, I aimed to capture the essence of the “Connected City: Hong Kong Stories” project and showcase its impact on attendees.
Through meticulous design and innovative storytelling, the “Connected City: Hong Kong Stories” project celebrates the vibrant culture and creativity of Hong Kong. From the dynamic stage at Lai Chi Kok D2 to the curated exhibition spaces, every element is crafted to immerse attendees in the stories that define our city.
